Chemekette Reopens; Soil Cement Operations Planned Today

ROBERT—After being closed overnight Monday due to extensive rainfall, Chemekette Road was reopened Tuesday, July 29.
Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said contractors from Barriere Construction are scheduled to begin soil cement work on that stretch of Chemekette Road today.
“We are encouraging motorists to use alternate routes, if at all possible, while soil cement operations are underway,” Miller said, adding that there will be intermittent delays on Chemekette while work is being done today.
