Pavement preservation work continues on three local roadways during the week of August 31.
Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said Material Resources Inc. will perform the final step of pavement preservation sealcoat on the following roadways: General Ott Road, Drude Road, and North Thibodeaux Road.
Intermittent delays are expected in these work zones; therefore, motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes, where possible. All work is weather permitting.
In addition to the pavement preservation project, parish road crews will close Robin Street in Amite on Friday, September 4, for a cross drain replacement project. The closure location is approximately 3,250 feet from the intersection of Robin Street and NW Central Avenue. The roadway will be closed to all thru-traffic while construction work is in progress, officials said.
