Effective today (Thursday, August 27, 2026), Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller announces the parish’s burn ban has been lifted.
“Due to overnight rain totals, our local fire departments concur that conditions no longer call for a burn ban across Tangipahoa Parish,” Miller said.
The ban was put into effect on August 14 after several weeks of extreme heat and very minimal rain across our area.
