Dev Patel has been re-elected to serve as Vice President of the Board while Beezie Landry will serve as Secretary/Treasurer of the organization.
The board recently welcomed Jared Lauderdale, Bridget Keyser, Lee Emery, and Trent Anthony as their newest members of the board. They join veteran board members Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller, Parish Councilwoman Brigette Delatte-Hyde, Kristin Braud, Patrick Coudrain, Victoria Heyer, and Sandy Summers, who round out the 13-member board. Ginger Cangelosi also serves as the Executive Director of the foundation’s board of directors.
21st Judicial District Court Judge Jenny Richardson Fore administered the oath of office to the Board.
During the installation, the board offered thanks to outgoing board members Ben Dutruch, Rhonda Sheridan, School Superintendent Melissa Stilley, and Heather Tassin, who dedicated many years of service to the TEDF board.
“Business Milestones” was the theme of this year’s annual meeting. Parish President Robby Miller delivered a brief State of the Parish address as part of this year’s meeting. He estimated that the parish has conservatively grown more than 7,500 new jobs in the last 10 years, and he forecast continued growth going into the second half of the decade. Miller commended the work of several locally-owned businesses who are not only celebrating milestones but also seeing second, third, and even fourth generations of family members step forward to lead those enterprises into new eras.
The group also heard an update on the broadband industry from representatives of REV Business, who sponsored this year’s annual meeting. REV is celebrating 90 years in the ever-changing communications industry.
“We are grateful for the support of our business community and the contributions of our TEDF board in our efforts to encourage economic development in Tangipahoa Parish,” Tangipahoa Economic Development Executive Director Ginger Cangelosi said.
“We are looking forward to a bright future in Tangipahoa Parish, as we continue to prove why we are the best parish in the state,” Miller said.
GNO Inc. and Encore Development were program sponsors for this year’s event.
