Tangipahoa Parish Road and Bridge crews have scheduled three cross drain replacement projects for the week of July 20.
Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said crews will close North Railroad Avenue just north of the Independence town limits on Tuesday, July 21, to complete a cross drain project near the intersection of North Railroad and Brickyard Roads. No thru-traffic will be allowed while construction is underway.
Also that day, crews will replace a cross drain on Sweeney Lane in Ponchatoula. The roadway will be closed between the hours of 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. while work is being completed.
On Wednesday, July 22, crews will replace a cross drain on Highland Drive in Hammond. Work will begin at 8 a.m., and the roadway will be closed to thru-traffic until approximately 2 p.m. while construction is underway.
All work is weather-permitting. Signs will be posted in the closure areas.
