Progress continues on the Roseland Incident Response. Through Tuesday morning, we can report the following updates:
Liquid Recovery Totals through Tuesday morning include:

Total: 5,477,073 gallons recovered to date
On Monday, the frac tank farm that was located north of the facility footprint moved to the Smitty’s site. This is a preliminary step toward reopening US 51.
Recovery operations continue on ponds and the Tangipahoa River. On site security is in place.
Flushing along the river continues from north to south.
To date, 2,068,000 gallons have been shipped off site for disposal.
UPDATE: The EPA will hold an “office hours” event TODAY (Tuesday, Sept. 23) from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Ponchatoula Library (located at 380 N. 5th Street in Ponchatoula). The Lee’s Landing office hours event that was scheduled for today has been canceled.
Five of the empty rail cars east of the facility footprint will be removed by the railway today. Efforts continue to expedite the removal of other railcars from the site.
The last of the vehicles which were burned during the fire at the Smitty’s site have been identified.
