Parish officials say the new Niagara Bottling Company is just days away from sending out its first shipment from their new facility in Tangipahoa Parish.
Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller and several department leaders from Tangipahoa Parish Government were on hand as corporate executives conducted a final walk-thru of the new manufacturing and shipping facility located on the northwest corner of the I-12 interchange in Robert.
“We were very impressed not only with Niagara’s new facility but also with the team of local employees who will operate this site in Tangipahoa Parish,” Miller said.
Established in 1963, the company “has established itself as a National leader in high quality affordable bottled water with geographically diversified production facilities throughout the United States,” according to a history of the company posted on their website.
The Ponchatoula facility’s first pallets of water are expected to ship on Wednesday, February 14.
Accompanying Miller on the tour were Tangipahoa Parish Economic Development Director Ginger Cangelosi, the parish’s Geaux Jobs Workforce Director Tina Roper, and Director of Homeland Security and Emergency Operations Dawson Primes.
