Blue skies and dry conditions are making it possible for Tangipahoa Parish road and bridge crews to tackle several road maintenance projects across the parish this fall.
Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said road maintenance includes bridge inspections, cross drain work, and a variety of other projects to keep our roadways safe for motorists.
This week, Road and Bridge teams will be working in the following areas:
- On Monday, Nov. 6, crews will close Walsh Road in the Pumpkin Center area to complete bridge maintenance. The roadway will be closed to thru-traffic from 8 a.m. until approximately 3 p.m.
- On Wednesday, Nov. 8, crews will close Rue Maison approximately 600 feet from the intersection with Rue Chene to replace a cross drain. Thru-traffic will be prohibited in that area between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.
