WHEN: Mainly during the day today (Friday, March 22) and into the early evening hours.
WHERE: Mostly along the immediate coastal areas of MS and LA.
CONFIDENCE & ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Low confidence for isolated severe storms.
Impacts: The main threats associated with any strong to severe storms will be:
- Strong, damaging wind gusts greater than 60 mph
- Large hail up to 1″ in diameter
- A few isolated tornadoes
- In addition, heavy rainfall with these storms could cause flooding in low lying and poor drainage areas
