Tropical Weather Outlook – October 11, 2022, 7:30AM

Overview:

There is a Medium (60%) chance of tropical cyclone development over the next 2 and 5 days.  

  • This system is forecast to move generally northwestward into the southwest Gulf of Mexico through midweek.  
  • It could form into a tropical depression over the next few days while it meanders in the southwest Gulf.

Confidence:

  • We have high confidence that this will NOT bring tropical-related impacts to our area.

Impacts:

  • This system is not expected to bring any significant impacts to the local area, but it is likely to increase moisture for our area and help provide rain on Wednesday.
