Striping work is ready to begin and sealcoating is expected to continue, weather permitting, as crews tackle the final tasks on the 2026 pavement preservation project in Tangipahoa Parish.
After more than a week of rain delays, sealcoating is expected to proceed starting Monday, September 14, on Drude Road, General Ott Road, and North Thibodeaux Road, Parish President Robby Miller said.
In addition to the sealcoating work this week, crews will begin layout and striping operations on the following roadways: Friendship Church Road, Turnpike Road, Hendry Road, Wares Road, Spitale Road, Virginia Road, Woodhaven Road, and Randall Road.
Intermittent delays are possible in construction zones, and motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes, if possible.
