PONCHATOULA—Three more culvert replacement projects are scheduled this week as Tangipahoa Parish road and bridge crews make preparations for the 2025 overlay program.
Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said cross drain work is scheduled Tuesday through Thursday of this week in the Ponchatoula area.
Crews will complete the following projects as noted here:
- October 8: Lark Street off of Traino Road
- October 9: Babin Lane off of Esterbrook Road
- October 10: Brown Road off of LA 22
Each roadway will be closed to thru-traffic between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and approximately 2:30 p.m. on the day of construction.
In addition to the culvert replacement projects, Miller said the contractor will be performing surface treatment operations on Kraft Road, River Crest Drive, Trapen Lane, Lynn Lane, Tracey Lane, Acadiana Place, Pine Meadow Road, and Steptoe Road during the week of October 7. Miller said motorists should use alternate routes, if possible, during surface treatment work.
