TPG Road Work: Week of May 12, 2025

Despite a couple days of rain last week, the Phase 2025 road overlay program is making continued progress, Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller says.
Miller said Barriere Construction has multiple crews completing operations weekly to tackle the jobs assigned for the 2025 road construction and rehab project.
During the week of May 12, crews are scheduled to work in the following areas:
  • Soil cement operations are scheduled for Gemstone Place, Pardo, Chemekette, and Chappapeela;
  • Preliminary asphalt patching is scheduled on Whiskey Lane, New Genessee, Jaelyn, Perry Lane, West Black Cat, Frank Lane, Mandella, West Martin Luther King, North Duncan, Trabona Lane, and South Lewiston;
  • Asphalt paving will be placed on Calvary, North Billville, East Park, Briarwood, Arbordale, Oak Hollow, and Holly;
  • Milling operations will begin on Briarwood, Arbordale, Whitmar, East Park, Oak Hollow, Holly, and Whiskey Lane;
  • Shoulder dressing will continue on Old Covington, Crisp, Gatlin, Lark, Cottonwood, Webb, Amelia, Gatlin, Dennis, Blackburn, West Robert, South I-12 Service, Shaffer, Calvary, South Pine, East Illinois, and North Billville.
All work is weather permitting, and intermittent delays should be expected. Motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes, if at all possible.
