During the short holiday week, Tangipahoa Parish Road and Bridge crews plan to complete four different cross drain projects over the course of just two days.
Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said cross drain projects are scheduled during the week of October 13 in Rabbit Run subdivision, on Kohnke Hill Road, and in Doe Run II east of Amite.
The projects are scheduled as follows:
- On Wednesday, October 14, two cross drains are scheduled to be replaced in Rabbit Run subdivision. Joele Road will be closed at its intersection with Rabbit Run Road. Lavelle Drive will also be closed at its intersection with Rabbit Run Road. Work is scheduled between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. that day.
- On Thursday, October 15, Rising Fawn Road in Doe Run II will be closed at a location approximately 2000 feet west of the intersection of Grandoe Road.
- Also on Thursday, October 15, Kohnke Hill Road will be closed at its intersection with US 51 north of Hammond. Work is scheduled between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
All work is weather-permitting, and no thru-traffic will be allowed while construction is being completed.
