Tangipahoa Parish Public Tangi Transit System for Urbanized Area Public Comment Process for Proposed Service Route Changes

In order to encourage public involvement and provide public notice for a proposed service route change for this urban area transit system, it is the policy of the Tangipahoa Parish Government to provide public notice. The proposed route changes would not be considered a major change and are being proposed in order to better serve the public and increase transit ridership.

Public comment and notice period can be viewed on the Parish website at Tangipahoa.org under the Public Transport link of the Parish Government or a resident can call the Parish Office in Amite (see contact info. below). The Parish will also allow a minimum 7-days from the published date of this notice, for residents or interested parties to send letters, emails, or make phone calls to the Parish government office in order to provide comments or ask questions about the proposed bus route changes. The address to be used by the public for the Tangipahoa Parish Government is P.O. Box 215, Amite, La. 70422, with any calls going to the Transit Program contact Mitch McDaniel at (985) 748-3211, or at email [email protected]. until 3 pm on August 29th, 2024.
