BAPTIST — A portion of Bankston Road will be limited to one-lane access starting Monday, April 28, as soil boring work begins.
Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said portions of Bankston Road, West Club Deluxe Road, and Old Highway 51 will be limited to one-lane access over the next two weeks as crews work to gather soil borings, which will be needed to complete design work on these road rehabilitation projects.
Miller said work will be done using a single lane closure, and flaggers will stationed at each site to allow traffic to safely pass through the work areas.
Crews will work on Bankston Road first then move to Club Deluxe Road and after that begin soil borings on Old Highway 51 next week. All work is weather-permitting.
Those areas scheduled for partial closure include:
- Bankston Road between US 190 and Old Baton Rouge Highway;
- Club Deluxe Road from west side of I-55 and continuing west to Happywoods Road;
- Old Highway 51 from US 51 continuing south to Guzzardo Lane.
Miller encourages motorists to use alternate routes, if possible, or to exercise caution while traveling through these work zones.
