PONCHATOULA—An emergency utility repair will require a closure of Sisters Road between the North Hoover Road traffic circle and Dunson Road today (Thursday, February 19, 2026) between the hours of 4-8 p.m.
Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said Entergy crews notified him today that they will be working this afternoon to replace a power pole that was damaged yesterday in a motor vehicle accident.
Miller said Entergy has planned a scheduled power outage from approximately 4-8 p.m., in the Sisters Road area between the North Hoover Road traffic circle and Dunson Road. Traffic will also be blocked off in this area while the pole is being replaced, and motorists are advised to use alternate routes during this time frame.
