Progress continues on the Roseland Incident Response. Through Tuesday morning, we can report the following updates:

- Based on advice from state and federal task force members, teams will implement several new techniques over the next few days to attempt to increase recovery rates at the ponds.
- Recovery continued at all four ponds overnight. Four collection points were utilized on D-1 overnight. EPA continues the 24-hour operation with 11 vacuum trucks operating overnight at the seven collection points for oily waste recovery. Crews recovered 183,960 gallons of waste from the ponds overnight.
- On Monday, EPA hosted office hours at Roseland First Baptist Church. 20 residents attended. EPA will continue to engage with the community with daily office hours this week. The schedule includes Lee’s Landing from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30. On Wednesday, October 1, office hours will be at the Independence Library from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.
