Roseland Incident Response Update: September 11, 2025

Progress continues on the Roseland Incident Response. Through Thursday morning, we can report the following updates:
Williams continues fire watch operations at the Smitty’s facility. EPA shares that the fire is now fully extinguished and 100 percent contained.
Booming and recovery efforts at the ponds continue with material collection happening 24 hours/day.
No change in air monitoring readings.
Removal of burned vehicles from the footprint of the Smitty’s facility is nearly completed.
Liquid Recovery Totals through Thursday morning include:
**On Site (Oil and Water): 3,027,108 gallons
**On Site (Grease and Water): 9,996 gallons
**Tangipahoa River (Skimmer): 83,538 gallons
**Tangipahoa River (Marco Boats): 68,418 gallons
**Pond D-1: 334,530 gallons
**Pond D-2: 266,868 gallons
**Pond D-3: 161,532 gallons
**Pond C-2: 10,920 gallons
**Hwy 10 Bridge: 8,190 gallons
Total: 3,971,100 gallons recovered to date
