Tangipahoa Parish Government is soliciting public input in order to gather public questions or comments prior to submitting the Parish’s proposed future application(s) for State Office of Community Development (OCD) grant funds that can be obligated to the Parish after approval of the Parish grant applications. The public is invited to review project summaries and encouraged to provide comments. The program summary also provides at least the following:
- The amount of funds available for proposed community and economic development and infrastructure projects through the two program allocations;
- The range of activities that may be undertaken, including the estimated amount of funds proposed to be used for activities that will benefit persons of low to moderate income, blight reduction, or urgent needs;
- The plans of the Parish for minimizing displaced persons as a result of activities assisted with such funds and the benefits that could be provided by the Parish to persons actually displaced as a result of such activities;
- The Parish’s past performance on similar HUD or CDBG projects funded by the State or Federal government;
- The proposed grant projects that the Parish is submitting, including any impacts to minority or low-moderate income populations.
