Portion of West Pleasant Ridge Closed Wednesday; Old Covington Highway Limited to One Lane

HAMMOND — A portion of West Pleasant Ridge Road will be closed Wednesday, April 23, for utility work.
Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said West Pleasant Ridge Road will be closed just south of its intersection with Old Covington Highway starting at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23, and continuing until approximately 5 p.m. that day. Crews will be installing a new underground utility across that road. No thru-traffic will be allowed on West Pleasant Ridge while the construction zone is active, Miller said.
Additionally, flagging crews will be staged on Old Covington Highway, which will be limited to one lane on Wednesday. Delays are expected, and motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes—such as East Pleasant Ridge Road and South Pleasant Ridge Road—to avoid these areas, if possible.
