PONCHATOULA—Clearing work will reduce a portion of North Hoover Road to just one lane over the next several weeks.
Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said crews will begin clearing trees along the eastern right-of-way of North Hoover Road between Thorn Lane and LA 22 this coming Monday, October. 28.
“This is the first step in preparing for the expansion of Hoover Road, which will begin early next year,” Miller said.
The clearing work is expected to take at least one month, perhaps longer, due to weather conditions. Miller said North Hoover Road will remain open for travel; however, the roadway will be reduced to one lane in the vicinity of the clearing operation. Traffic control will be set up daily to alternate the traffic passing through the work site.
“Please exercise caution and patience while traveling through this work zone,” Miller said, encouraging motorists to use alternate routes, if at all possible.
