LORANGER—Motorists can expect intermittent delays on LA 445 between LA 40 and Chappapeela Road starting this week as DOTD begins asphalt patching on that stretch of roadway.
Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said DOTD has announced plans to patch that section of LA 445 starting on Tuesday, March 14. The operation calls for “alternating and intermittent lane closures” while crews work on this project. Only one lane will be closed at any given time, DOTD noted. Crews will be working in the area for approximately one month.
To avoid lane closures, motorists traveling LA 445 north are encouraged to take US 190 west to LA 443, then north to LA 40, and then turn east to re-intersect LA 445. Southbound traffic can take LA 40 west to LA 443 and then south to US 190 before turning east to re-intersect with LA 445.
In addition to the patching work on LA 445, Miller announced that the Phase 22 parish road contractor will be working on striping East Mulberry, La Polo Farms Road, Bradford Road, Crown Drive, Old US 51, Pine Street, Song and Spirit of the Forest, Willie McCoy Road, Company Road, Greco Road, Wadesboro Road, Forest Lane, and Willie McCoy Road during the week of March 13.
RPC crews are scheduled to install signs and safety beacons on Happywoods Road, Rufus Bankston Road, Wardline Road, North Baptist Road, and Sisters Road.
