AMITE—One lane of the Reid Road bridge will be closed due to damage from a fire.
Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said the bridge has been inspected and in-house crews will be able to complete repairs this week.
The bridge is located approximately one mile west of Old U.S. 51 north of Independence. The street is a dead-end roadway, and no residents are blocked in by the closure.
