Public Notice For Tangipahoa Parish Urban Transit Program FY 2022 Funding

The Tangipahoa Parish Government, in association with the Tangipahoa Voluntary Council on Aging (TVCOA) as the public transit operator for the Parish, will be applying to the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) for the fiscal year 2022 funding (estimated to be at least $325,000) for the Section 5307 urbanized transit system that is now operated primarily within the Hammond and Ponchatoula areas.

Before finalizing any budget requests or scope of work/activities for the funding request, the Parish invites the public to comment or ask questions about the grant program, potential needs, activities, or problems, or to provide suggestions. 

Information about the funding for 2022 is posted to the Tangipahoa Parish’s website (www.tangipahoa.org) and the Council on Aging website (www.tangicoa.com). The Parish will receive comments for a 7-day period following the date of this public notice. The public comment period will end on March, 3rd, 2022 at 4 p.m. Thank you.
