- The severe weather threat for during the day Tuesday remains the same
Overview:
WHAT: SLIGHT RISK of Severe Weather
WHEN: Late this evening through early Tuesday morning
WHERE: Along and north of the I-10/12 corridor & west of I-59, especially in southwest Mississippi and the Florida Parishes
CONFIDENCE: We are confident that there will be thunderstorms across that area and that a few will be strong to marginally severe.
Impacts: The main threats associated with any severe storms will be:
- Damaging Winds: Wind gusts greater than 60 mph are possible. Winds of this magnitude are capable of causing damage to trees and power lines, leading to isolated/scattered power outages
- Tornadoes: A few tornadoes are possible.
