- The Marginal risk area has expanded north and east to now cover most of SE LA and portions of southern MS.
Overview:
WHAT: MARGINAL RISK of Severe Weather
WHEN: After midnight tonight thru Tuesday morning.
WHERE: Large majority of SE LA and portions of southern MS.
CONFIDENCE:
Currently, we have low confidence in the potential for strong to severe storms. Greater confidence across coastal areas of SE LA.
Impacts:
The main threats associated with any locally strong to severe severe storm will be:
- Large hail possible.
- Locally strong wind gusts 40 to 60 mph will be possible which may lead to scattered wind damage and/or local power outages.
- An isolated, weak tornado cannot be ruled out.
Widespread rainfall totals of 0.5 to 1.5 inches possible with this system. Not anticipating any flash flood issues at this time.
