Joseph "Joe" Havis

Joseph “Joe” Havis is the Tangipahoa Parish Councilman for District 4 Representing Loranger, Independence, Surrounding Areas of Tickfaw and Natalbany. Joe is serving his first term on the Tangipahoa Parish Council and is very honored to do so. Joe was appointed to serve on the councils Finance, Jail and Garbage committees.

Joe is married to Tira Carter Havis and both are life long residents of Independence. Joe has 29 years experience in the private sector in Industrial, Commercial and Residential Construction. Joe has worked up the ranks through the years, working his way from the bottom to a Field Superintendent/Site Manager and was promoted to Project Manager 5 years ago. Joe and his Wife also own and operate Chookies Seafood in Hammond.

Joe believes that with good communication, hard work and dedication as a community all goals set can be accomplished. Joe is committed to putting the people of District 4 first and will continue to seek their input to understand their concerns.
