Hon. Darrell Sinagra
Darrell Sinagra is honored to be serving his first term as Councilman for District 1. District 1 includes parts of Kentwood, the east side of Amite, and many surrounding communities including Line Creek, East Fork, Spring Creek, Boliver, Chesbrough, and Wilmer.
Darrell is a lifelong Tangipahoa Parish resident and graduate of Loranger High School. Darrell met his wife Cassie in high school, and they have been married for 28 years and have raised two children together. Darrell and Cassie have attended Cornerstone Church of Amite for 20 years where they have volunteered in various capacities. Darrell is currently serving the Cornerstone community as Deacon.
Darrel and Cassie purchased a farm in Wilmer 26 years ago, and they still dairy there today. In addition to being a full time dairy farmer, Darrell has held several other positions. Darrell
currently serves on the Kentwood Co-Op Board, the Soil and Water Conservation Board, and the Dairy Advisory Committee. Prior to holding public office, Darrell was a member of the Louisiana Dairy Promotion Board. From 2010 to 2019, Darrell was a volunteer and certified shooting coach for the Tangipahoa Parish 4-H Shooting Sports Program.
Darrell is excited to work with the other council members to improve our parish, and he encourages the residents of District 1to reach out to him regarding the issues that are most important to them.
