You can register to receive updates on state guidance from opensafely.la.gov. The website is being updated to provide the option to download information specific to your business type without registering on the site. Registration is not used for tracking purposes – it only provides a business with automated notifications as guidance is updated.
- State Office Buildings – State office buildings will begin opening tomorrow and early next week. The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries opens tomorrow in Baton Rouge and across the state on Monday (in time for brown shrimp season which opens May 18). Other state office buildings will open Monday. You can check specific agency websites for regional offices to see if they have adjusted hours (for example, your local Office of Motor Vehicles).
- New Orleans RTA – The New Orleans Regional Transit Authority announced that they will resume fare collections for riders beginning May 17. The transit agency also announced that they will also restore routes that had been taken offline and will operate on a Saturday transit schedule each day.
