April 15, 2020 Update

News

• New Orleans International Airport Funding – It was announced that airports in Greater New Orleans will receive over $43.2 million in FAA funding, including nearly $42.8 million that is allocated for Louis Armstrong New Orleans International.  Airports can use the funding for capital expenditures, operating expenses (including payroll and utilities), and debt payments. This funding comes as part of the recent federal CARES Act.  You can read more here.
• Auto Insurance Refunds Update – Louisiana auto insurance policyholders will be receiving more than $185 million in refunds, as a result of less driving and fewer accidents. The Department of Insurance reports more than a dozen insurance companies are providing refunds.

Webinar – Loan Gumbo:  Figuring Out Which Loan is Right for You  (Thur., 4/16, 12:00pm) This webinar will help clarify which “coronavirus loan” is best for you.  A panel of experts will address your most pressing questions, highlighting the differences between the Paycheck Protection Program and the Economic Injury Disaster Loan program, as well as other programs including the state-backed Louisiana Loan Portfolio Guaranty Program and the new Main Street Lending Program.  Additional traditional SBA loans will also be addressed.
