Evacuation Order in Roseland; Roads Closed Near Smitty’s Supply

The Louisiana State Police Emergency Services Unit (ESU), along with multiple emergency response partners, is currently on the scene of a structural incident at Smitty’s Supply Inc. in Roseland, Tangipahoa Parish. A one-mile evacuation zone has been established, and the duration of the evacuation remains unknown at this time.
Interstate 55 (I-55) is open in both directions.
Current State and Federal Road Closures:
U.S. 51 between LA 16 and LA 10 W.
LA 1048 between I-55 and U.S. 51
LA 10 E between U.S. 51 and E. Russell Town Road
Louisiana State Police urge the public to avoid the area while emergency responders and public safety partners work to ensure the scene is safe from all hazards.
