Emergency Waterway Closure
WHEREAS, the Parish of Tangipahoa has declared that all Tangipahoa Parish waterways are closed to ALL marine traffic effective 8:00 a.m. CST Friday, September 13, 2024, due to high water; and
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Dawson Primes, Tangipahoa Parish Director of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, do hereby proclaim emergency closures of all waterways south of Louisiana Highway 22 within Tangipahoa Parish to any and all marine traffic until further notice; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office as well as Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries will be patrolling these areas and issuing fines to all violators.
