TICKFAW—Buckles Lane north of Tickfaw will be closed to traffic on Thursday, Jan. 16, for crossing work.
Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said CN Railroad notified his office that they will close the Buckles Lane crossing shortly after the school buses leave that area Thursday morning.
According to the railroad, the work is expected to take most of the day to complete and could run well into the evening hours. At no time during construction will the crossing be open for motorists.
CN encourages residents who may need to get across the track to have a vehicle parked on the US 51 side of the crossing. They are also encouraged to make arrangements to pick up any children who ride the bus home after school.
