TPG Road Work: Week Of December 12, 2022

PONCHATOULA—Several bridges along LA 22 will be limited to one-lane of travel midweek as DOTD conducts inspections of those structures.

Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said DOTD is scheduled to inspect a series of bridges between Brown Road and Fairhope Drive on Wednesday and Thursday of this week.

Starting at 8:30 a.m., on Wednesday, Dec. 14, and continuing through approximately 2 p.m., on Thursday, Dec. 15, crews will intermittently close alternating lanes on the bridges being inspected. Affected bridges will be reduced to one 12-foot lane during the inspection process.

DOTD is recommending that motorists use alternate routes, if possible, during the inspection process.

Miller said DOTD has announced continued work on the Wadesboro Road bridge project. Started in July of this year, construction is now scheduled to continue through the end of this month. The Wadesboro Road bridge is located approximately .7 miles west of the I-55 Southwest Service Road in Ponchatoula. Detours are posted.
