As the Planning Director and Floodplain Manager, my role is to maximize the health, safety, and economic well being for all people living in our parish. As we create a community that will have lasting value, we must plan on how we move around our community, attract and retain thriving businesses, plan for where we live, preserve our natural resources, and provide opportunities for recreation.
My job is to take a broad view of the pieces of our community – buildings, roads, floodplains, parks, etc.. – and how they fit together like pieces of a puzzle while keeping in mind how each piece affects the adjacent piece.
