Hon. Trent Forrest
Mr. Trent Forrest is currently serving his 2nd term as District 1 Councilman of Tangipahoa Parish. District 1 includes the City of Kentwood, Village of Tangipahoa, and many surrounding communities including, Line Creek, East Fork, Spring Creek, Boliver, Chesbrough, and Wilmer.
Mr. Forrest’s focus since holding office has been decreasing the number of gravel roads, maintaining and improving parish roads and drainage, and providing a voice on the council for rural communities throughout the parish. He currently serves on the Budget committee, Hospital District 2 committee, Storm Water Committee, and is the former chairman of the Litter Committee. He is also a member of the PJAL Agricultural Committee.
Mr. Forrest is a graduate of Jewel Sumner High School, Southwest Mississippi Community College (Associates Degree), Millsaps College, (Bachelor Degree), and Louisiana State University, (Master’s Degree). He currently resides on a family farm near Spring Creek with his wife, Macy, and two sons Connor and Kale. He is a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church, and a member of Kentwood Rotary Club.
