Portion of North Hoover Road Closed February 15-22 for Cross Drain Replacement Project

PONCHATOULA — A portion of North Hoover Road will be closed during the week of February 15-22 for cross drain pipe removal and replacement.
Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said contractors will close the roadway between 41333 North Hoover and 41337 North Hoover to address a series of cross drain pipes which will need to be removed and replaced. In an effort to limit the inconvenience on motorists, the work is being completed during the week of the Mardi Gras school holiday.
“The contractor’s goal is to complete this cross drain work and several other items that will help expedite the overall schedule of this road widening project,” Miller said.
During this weeklong closure, detours will be strictly in place, and only residents who live in the immediate closure area will have access to their homes, Miller said.
Motorists traveling south of the closure area must come in via LA 22; those traveling to the north of the area will only have access via Sisters Road or Airport Road, Miller said.
