Final Round of Debris Clean Up Begins Monday in East Fork

EAST FORK—The final round of debris clean up from the March 2025 tornado in northern Tangipahoa Parish will begin on Monday, April 14, in the East Fork community.

Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller announced today that curbside debris collection will begin early on Monday for those residents impacted by the March tornado.

“While we have removed quite a bit of the storm debris, our parish crews want to make one final pass to collect any other vegetative or construction debris that residents have from the tornado last month,” Miller said.

Debris must be staged at the roadside, as crews are not allowed to enter private property to pick up the materials.

“Crews can only make this one final pass, so we strongly encourage residents to take advantage of this opportunity and have their storm debris at the roadside very early on Monday,” Miller said.

The Parish President applauded efforts of property owners in the storm’s path, who have been working diligently to recover from the devastating tornado.

“With this last debris pick up, we hope that this is another step forward in the community’s efforts to rebuild even stronger after the March storm,” Miller said.
