HAMMOND—Two local roadways will be closed on separate days this week as crews complete road maintenance operations.
Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said Whittington Lane (located off of Spook Hill Road in Tickfaw) will be closed on Tuesday, Sept. 24, for road maintenance. Motorists will be detoured from the area during the closure, which is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. that day.
Then on Wednesday, Sept. 25, Sweet William Drive (located off of East Park Avenue in Hammond) will be closed between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., also for road maintenance. No thru-traffic will be allowed during the construction period.
Miller said surface treatment operations will continue this week on Redwood Drive, Rivercrest Drive, and Kraft Road. The contractor recommends motorists use alternate routes, if possible, while this process is being completed.
Asphalt patch repairs are scheduled on North River Road, Addison Road, Tycer Road, and South Range Road during the week of September 23. Miller said intermittent traffic delays are possible while the repairs are being completed.
All work is weather-permitting.
