WHAT: MARGINAL RISK of Severe Weather
WHEN: Mainly in the afternoon and evening
WHERE: Mainly Southern Mississippi and areas of SE Louisiana north of I-12
CONFIDENCE: We have confidence that there will be a few thunderstorms across the area. We have less confidence in storms becoming severe and exactly where those strong/severe storms will occur.
Impacts:
The main threats associated with any severe storms will be:
Damaging Winds:
- Wind gusts greater than 60 mph will be possible
- Trees and powerlines could be damaged and lead to isolated/scattered power outages
Large Hail:
- Large hail up to an inch in diameter will be possible
