PONCHATOULA—Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said Entergy Louisiana has scheduled a four-to-five hour long planned power outage on Monday in a portion of the Sisters Road/Dunson Road area of Ponchatoula.
Miller said the Entergy office indicates that approximately 400 customers near the intersection of Sisters and Duncan Roads will be without power starting at 9 a.m., on Monday, Aug. 14.
The company is notifying customers who are in the impacted area. Miller said Entergy will be reaching out to those residents via phone, text, or email, based on how each customer selected to be notified within their Entergy account preferences.
The outage will allow Entergy crews to safely make upgrades to the local power grid in that area.
The company estimates approximately 400 customers will be impacted by this planned outage, which is scheduled to last approximately 4-5 hours on Monday.
