PONCHATOULA—Motorists traveling near the intersection of North Hoover Road and Sisters Road will experience delays starting the week of June 5, as crews begin staging materials and equipment to begin the next phase of the roundabout project at that location.
Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said Beverly Construction has been selected to begin this phase of the project. They plan to move into the site on Monday, June 5. At that time, they will be receiving materials and staging them at the point where work will begin.
“There will be a lot of movement of equipment, materials, and personnel during this process,” Miller said, noting that there will be brief intermediate lane closures during which crews will deliver materials to crews.
“We ask motorists to be patient and use caution while traveling through this construction area, especially where crews are working in the area,” Miller said.
In addition to this staging work, a portion of Hoover Road between Sisters Road and LA 22 just north of Tiger Creek Lane will be closed on Tuesday, June 6, from 6 a.m. until 3 p.m. This closure will allow Entergy crews an opportunity to make preparations for a bridge expansion project which is planned later this summer.
