Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said two major cross drain replacements are scheduled this week in preparation for road overlay.
Miller said School Road in Loranger will be closed between Sweetwater Road and Abrams Road starting at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, May 24. Work is expected to take two days, and crews estimate the construction should be completed by 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 25, weather permitting.
Also on Thursday, May 25, crews will be installing a cross drain at the intersection of Pineview Drive at Bellwood Drive. Pineview Drive will be closed from 8:30 a.m. through 3 p.m., weather permitting.
Both assignments represent road maintenance projects which must be completed in preparation for overlay later this year. Miller said Phase 2023 overlay work should begin in just a few weeks.
