PUMPKIN CENTER—Four more cross drain replacement projects are on the books for this week as Tangipahoa Parish continues to make preparations for the Phase 23 overlay project.
Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said crews will be changing out cross drains on several roads this week in preparation for overlay later this year.
Replacing a cross drain requires a road closure at the construction site. As a result, motorists can expect detours this week as cross drains are changed out as scheduled below:
- Tuesday, March 28: Schafer Drive and Lynnwood Drive;
- Wednesday, March 29: Happywoods Drive;
- Thursday, March 30: East Nickens Road.
Work is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. on the day of construction. Detours will be posted, and no vehicle traffic will be allowed in the work zone during construction.
