As of noon (12:00 PM) today, Louisiana has 18,283 diagnosed cases, 702 deaths and 2,014 patients hospitalized (473 requiring ventilators)associated with the outbreak. There have been 86,919 tests completed. All data is available at www.ldh.la.gov/coronavirus.

From Governor Edwards: “Now is not the time to ease up on social distancing, the mitigation measures in place or the stay at home order. We must continue to be good neighbors and work toward the goal of flattening the curve or we could run the risk of seeing our numbers spike.”

State PPE Bid. There is an open bid for PPE on LaPAC (GOHSEP-RFQ-15). More information here. Bid will close at 4pm Central on Friday, 10 April 2020.Please see attached.

PPE Donations. Offers of donations of PPE to the state should go to [email protected]. All donations are then sent to critical need locations around the state.

Urgent Resource Request. Prison Enterprise is making hand sanitizer and needs empty bottles to put this in. Some type of flip top preferably but if not, whatever is available. Need is for 24,200 – 8oz or 19,000- 10 oz, or 12,100 – 16 oz. If these sizes are not available in the quantity requested, a combination of each size is acceptable to accommodate 1500 total gallons of sanitizer.

Interim CDC Guidance for Critical Infrastructure Employees with Potential COVID Exposure. To ensure continuity of operations of essential functions, CDC advises that critical infrastructure workers may be permitted to continue work following potential exposure to COVID-19, provided they remain asymptomatic and additional precautions are implemented to protect them and the community. A potential exposure means being a household contact or having close contact within 6 feet of an individual with confirmed or suspected COVID-19. The timeframe for having contact with an individual includes the period of time of 48 hours before the individual became symptomatic.  See Attachments for further information.

ADVISORY.  Out of State Essential Business Travel. We have seen in some jurisdictions out of state the requirement for drivers to present company ID or letterhead identifying the individual as essential to operate outside of established curfew hours.
