FEMA Guidance for PPE in non-healthcare settings.The attached guidance summarizes how organizations should consider and manage their personal protective equipment (PPE) needs while ensuring the protection of workers during the COVID-19 pandemic response. For most businesses, where PPE is not required by law or regulation as a part of routine duties, businesses should follow CDC guidance on use of simple cloth face coverings. CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., control rooms, production floors), especially in areas of significant community-based transmission.
