WHAT: MARGINAL RISK of Severe Weather
WHEN: Thursday and Friday mainly during the late afternoon and evening hours.
WHERE: Thursday all areas, Friday mainly along and north of a line from Baton Rouge to Slidell.
CONFIDENCE: High confidence in thunderstorms developing and moving over most areas and that a few or these will be severe Thursday.
Moderate confidence in thunderstorms moving through the area Friday but low confidence in severe weather.
Impacts:
The main threats associated with any severe storms will be:
- Wind gusts greater than 60 mph will be possible
- Trees and powerlines could be damaged and lead to isolated/small scale power outages
