PONCHATOULA—Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller announced today that the contractor will be installing storm drain pipes and catch basins for the Hoover/Sisters Road roundabout in the coming week.
Miller said motorists can expect delays in the area, and he asked that drivers use caution traveling in the construction zone.
At this time, Miller said there is still no update on the anticipated one-day road closure for crews to install cross drains on Hoover Road, just south of the Sisters Road intersection. That project was delayed due to supply chain issues. Miller said updates will be provided on that project as soon as possible.
In addition to this project, road work has been scheduled as follows for the week of Feb. 27:
- Phase 22 overlay/dressing projects: Otis Slaven, Thurland McGehee Road, Verberne Road, Joe Dyson Road, Hunt Road, Juan Wood Road, Forbes and Miller Road, and Wallace Court;
- Striping: Hilburn Road, LA Polo Farms Road, Bradford Road, East Mulberry, Premo, Crown Road, Son and Spirit of the Forest, Willie McCoy Road, Company Road, Greco, Mayeaux, Crapanzano Road, East Merry Street, East Charbonnet, and Wadesboro Road.
