PONCHATOULA—Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller announced today that the previously-scheduled February 22 Hoover Road closure has been postponed.
Miller said crews originally planned to use the closure to complete cross drain installations just south of the Sisters Road intersection. Materials needed for the project are not yet available, so crews will postpone this portion of the project for now.
Miller said the parish will announce a new date for the construction work as soon as it can be scheduled.
The week of Feb. 20 will be an abbreviated work week for Tangipahoa Parish Government. Offices will be closed on Monday for President’s Day and on Tuesday for Mardi Gras. The Tangipahoa Parish Landfill remain open regular hours throughout the holiday period.
All TPG offices resume normal operations on Wednesday, Feb. 22, at which time Phase 22 road crews will be concentrating on the following dressing projects: Company Road, Wallace Court, East Mulberry Street, Forbes and Miller Road, Premo Lane, Arcola Road, Peck Martin and Willie McCoy Road, Verberne Road, Joe Dyson Road, Hunt Road, Juan Wood Road, Otis Slaven and Thurland.
The RPC contractor continues to collect mailboxes that were removed to complete overlay projects in south Tangipahoa Parish. They are also finalizing any punch list items that are outstanding in those repairs.
